Wes and Darren are the acoustic branch of Anden, whose energetic, jazz-tinged rock translates well into the simplified setting of two interlocking, acoustic guitars.
Anden's acoustic branch is the guitar axis of the group left to its own devices-- literally and figuratively.

On my left... Darren Furr's songwriting stems from his unabashed addiction to the singer/songwriter firmament, a cosmology where deities such as Joni Mitchell and Bruce Cockburn reign supreme.  Lyrically, he occupies the outer reaches of an imagism too impressionistic to be called rock, but too lyrical to be called anything else.  His guitar playing is propulsively rhythmic and yet atmospheric, recalling a Flamenco guitarist wired on too much coffee being fed through Andy Summers' gear somewhere in the East Village at 3:00 a.m.  He has been playing, writing, and singing for 20 years, primarily with the various avatars of Anden.

Wes Peacock's sound mind hardened into the mold of Norman Mailer, John Fahey and Shel Silverstein. To hear things his way, you might stay up all night watching the Decline of Western Civilization, Repo Man, and Straw Dogs, while a very intense actress whispers excerpts from Advertisments for Myself, The Naked Ape, and The Age of Spiritual Machines in a room where three record players loop The Essential Django Reinhardt, Oingo Boingo's Only A Lad, and Roky Erikson & the Aliens The Evil One.

Wes' roots are in the Austin rock scene, where he played guitar for Weird Cousin, North Loop Jihad, the Lechers, Rubber Maid, and The Miller Men, as well as many other musical ensembles, both delicate and bizarre. These experiences conspired to imbue him with an addiction to nuanced and complex music. His recent association with Mr. Furr has only aggravated that condition.

Darren and Wes met in April of 2005 and have been faithfully fashioning the music that you can now sample on the Mp3 page ever since then.  They share a penchant for the literary, and a voracity for the full range of the musical universe.  Most importantly, they share a love of playing together as often as they can.
